Your Pro licence
Your licence is a signed key. The app checks it on your PC; there is no account and no activation server.
Where you get it
As soon as your payment goes through, the checkout takes you to a page that shows your licence key, which starts with LGK1-, and a licence file to download. Save both somewhere you keep important documents, or simply bookmark the page.
The page may take a minute to show the key while the payment is confirmed. It refreshes by itself.
Turn on Pro
- Open LocalGateKeys and unlock your vault.
- Go to Tools > Licence and choose Enter licence.
- Paste the key, or open the licence file. Pro turns on straight away, without going online.
Do the same on each PC you use.
If you lose it
- Reinstalling or restoring a backup? Once entered, the licence is also kept inside your encrypted vault. Unlock the vault, or restore a backup of it, and Pro comes back by itself.
- Still have the page? Open the bookmark or link from your purchase; it shows the key again.
- Otherwise, email support@localgatekeys.app from the address you bought with, with your order number from the Paddle receipt (you can find it at https://paddle.net). We will send you the key again.
We can only look up a purchase by the email address and order number. We cannot see anything in your vault.
Changed PC?
Enter the same key on the new PC, or restore a backup of your vault there. There is nothing to deactivate on the old one.
